ROHRI (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party leader Khurshid Shah has on Saturday said that there is no problem if the local body elections can be delayed considering the flood situation in Sindh. Talking to media on Saturday during his tour to Ali Wahan, Khurshid Shah announced his support for the business community protest against proposed withholding tax on banking transactions. “We are with the people facing difficulties,” opposition leader said. He said that despite imposing new taxes, the government should find new tax payers. Khurshid Shah said that whether it’s Imran Khan, Moulana Fazlur Rehman, Nawaz Sharif or Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Pakistan People’s Party always supported democracy in the country. “We wanted the parliament to work free that is why we asked the government to help them fail motion against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf,” he said. He said that the PTI chief Imran Khan should follow the agreement with the government. Opposition leader said that the prime minister is the premier of the country and he should visit every place, adding that there was no issue in Sindh by the grace of almighty Allah. He said that the floods have worried the people, adding that the local body elections can be delayed for two or three months considering flood situation.
