PPP leader Khurshid Shah says cases against MQM chief not a good precedent
SUKKUR (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party opposition leader Syed Khurshid Shah said cases against Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussian is not a good precedent.
Talking to media at his residence, he said that cases against prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan could also be registered in the future.
He said that the state should come forward in this regard. “Altaf Hussian has put his party in difficult situation,” he said.
Khurshid Shah said that no one knows Altaf Hussain’s policies. “No one becomes a criminal after FIR’s registered against them.”
He said that the decision to extend the period of Rangers is in Sindh Assembly.
Opposition leader said that the actions of NAB and FIA are against the 18th Amendment and interference in province’s internal matters.
Khurshid Shah said that no one remember what happened in the last 55 years, the only thing they remember is the last 7 years of the politicians.
He asked why no one asks about Ayub and Sikandar Mirza’s Marsal Law and why no one asks why and how General Ziaul Haq and Pervez Musharraf came to power.
Welcoming the Modi-Nawaz meeting, Khurshid Shah said that Pakistan should have taken advantage of this meeting and discussed all controversial issues including Kashmir issue and Indian involvement in Balochistan.
