PPP leaders to discuss Rangers powers

DUBAI (92 News) – A level meeting of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will be held today (Sunday) again to decide on Rangers special powers. The meeting will be attended by former president Azif Zardari, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and other party leaders. Earlier, former President Asif Zardari had on Saturday hosted a dinner for Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders in Dubai. The dinner was attended by PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur, Sharjeel Memon Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and other party leaders. Sources said that matters pertaining to extension in Rangers special powers, shuffling in Sindh cabinet, Panama leaks and Kashmir elections were discussed, during the dinner. Previously, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the decision about giving extension to Rangers' power in Sindh would be made after consultation with PPP leadership in Dubai. He said that he will brief the party leadership on the performance of the law enforcement agencies who restored peace in the city. The chief minister visited different areas of the city where cleanliness work was in progress.
