ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Pakistan People's Party (PPP), the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) have decided to oppose the proposed constitutional amendment for conducting the Senate election through open ballot.

Sources said that all three parties are of the view that the PTI was making an amendment in the constitution to save their ATMs.

They said that granting of permission to dual nationality holders to contest the election is tantamount to government's mission to give top slots to their favourites.

The three parties have decided to approach other parliamentary parties. The constitutional amendment will be discussed in the next meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
