PPP, PML-N, PML-Q and IPP decide to become party in general elections case as ECP moves SC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Pakistan People's Party (PPP), the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) decided to become party in the general elections case on Friday.

PPPP president Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif, PML-Q president Chaudhary Shujaat and IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Tareen have given their parties a green signal to file petitions against the verdict of the Lahore High Court regarding the retuning officers.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the verdict of the LHC . 

A three-judge headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa is hearing the case. Justice Sardar Tariq and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah are the members.
