KARACHI (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday while taking a jibe at his political opponents said that Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are two sides of a coin. Addressing charged crowd in Karachi during his visit, he said that he announced to make city of lights like New York, adding that had not come to the city for political point-scoring. Commenting on the sanitation situation in Karachi, the Punjab chief minister said that Karachi will be cleaned like Lahore in 6 months if his party (PML-N) given chance to serve the masses in Sindh. Talking to media along with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Bahadurabad faction leaders, Shehbaz said that he has clearly told the party leaders that he did not come to Karachi with any political agenda. He further shared that Awami National Party (ANP) and PML-N will work together to improve the city’s situation. The PML-N president also held a meeting with ANP’s Shahi Syed after arriving at Mardan House and said status of Karachi will be restored. Shahbaz Sharif also recited poetry while lamenting opponents. The Punjab CM president also spoke about the security situation of Karachi, saying peace in the city was essential for stable law and order across Pakistan. “Karachi is the face of Pakistan for the entire world.” Commenting on the city's power crisis, he said that the K-Electric was responsible for the power crisis in the mega city of Karachi, adding that the prime minister had convened a meeting to discuss the power issue being faced by Karachi and its residents should get uninterrupted power supply during the holy month of Ramzan. "Karachi was the face of Pakistan, that was why former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif took a boldpolitical d ecision for restoration of peace in Karachi in 2013," he said and Peace has been restored in the city, which can be gauged from the fact that 80 percent of extortion has ended,” he added.
