PPP's Waqar Mehdi elected senator unopposed from Sindh

KARACHI (92 News) - Waqar Mehdi of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has been elected as senator unopposed from Sindh.

He was elected the senator after Ahmed Saleem Siddiqui and Tariq Mansoor of the MQM withdrew their nominations by submitting an application to the returning officer.

Provincial Minister Nasir Hussain said that talks are going on to include the MQM in the Sindh government. "It is not a deal to give the designation of the administrator and take the Senate seat," he added.
