ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Refusing to hold talks with PDM, PPP senior leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz did not want to send the rulers home.

Lashing out at JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, the PPP leader said that they wanted to give PTI-led government more time. "PDM leadership neither wanted to stage protest nor serious in launching a long march against the incumbent government," he added.

"The two parties had not taken other member parties of the PDM into confidence while making decision and harmed the opposition’s alliance," he added.

Earlier, PDM chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman has announced protest demonstrations to give a tough time to the government.

Talking to the media after a meeting of PDM leaders on Saturday, he said that a protest demonstration would be staged in Swat on July 4, in Karachi on July 29 and in Islamabad on August 14.

He said that the government had no ability to counter any challenge.

The PDM chairman demanded that a joint session of the parliament should be called on the Afghanistan situation.

He also rejected the proposal of the voting machine and an ordinance of the electoral reforms.

Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that the government should take action against the government functionaries involved in corruption.

He said that the government should clarify the rumours about giving air bases to the US.
