PPP stages countrywide protest against inflation, unemployment

KARACHI (92 News) – The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) staged a countrywide protest against inflation, unemployment and increasing prices of petroleum.

Demonstrations were staged at all district headquarters. The protesters, including women, chanted slogans against the federal government.

Addressing the protesters in Karachi, PPP leader Saeed Ghani said that they will take rest only after sending the government. "The worst inflation has broken the backbone of the masses. Imran Khan is setting records of promises and U-turns," he added.

In Sukkur, PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah said that now the people will have to come on streets and demand the return of the old Pakistan.

Protest demonstrations were staged in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Abbottabad, Swabi, Khanewal, Hunza, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dera Ghazi Khan, Zhob, Hyderabad, Larkana, Dadu, Mirpur Khas and Khanpur.
