PPP to take out ‘Salam Shuhada’ rally today

KARACHI (92 News) – The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will carry out a ‘Salam Shuhada’ rally today to honor the martyrs of the Karsaz incident. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will lead the rally to be taken out from Bilawal House to Karsaz. Preparations are in full swing for the rally. The party workers are showing great enthusiasm and fervor for the rally. They are determined to make this rally a historic one. A total of three trucks have been arranged for the PPP leaders which will lead the rally from Bilawal House. Sherry Rehman, Yousaf Raza Gillani, and Qaim Ali Shah are present on one truck. The rally is to remember the martyred of the PPP. A traffic plan has been made for the rally. Both the tracks of Shahrah-e-Faisal from Drug Road to Baloch Colony have been closed. The citizens have been directed to use alternate routes. The Karsaz bombing of Oct 18, 2007 in Karachi was an attack on a motorcade carrying former prime minister Benazir Bhutto. The attack resulted in at least 180 deaths and 500 injuries.
