PPP terms Corruption Preception Index's report a charge-sheet against govt

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PPP leader Sherry Rehman has termed the report of Corruption Preception Index (CPI) a charge-sheet against the government.

Talking to 92 News, she said that former Adviser to PM on Accountability Shehzad Akbar's resignation has proved that inflation had really increased.

“Your false statements have been rejected at the international forums. Not only transparency international report but other international organizations have stated about an increase in corruption in Pakistan,” she added.

She said that going 16 ranks up in corruption of Pakistan unveils government’s statements. “In 2020, Pakistan rank was 124 all over the world in the Corruption Perception Index report. Pakistan rank declined to 140 within one year. Accountability is only to target opponents. International organizations are now revealing corruption of this government,” she concluded.
