PPP workers won’t run away out of fear, says Rehman Malik

KARACHI (92 News) – Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Rehman Malik has said that going abroad does not mean running away, adding that Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairman Asif Zardari left country to meet ailing party leader Ameen Faheem. Talking to the media on Friday, Rehman Malik said that Asif Zardari told him that he loves armed forces, who are sacrificing their live for the country. “Pakistan needs unity at this time,” he said. Rehman Malik said that media changed the meanings of PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari’s speech. Rehman Malik said that they will not give any explanation on someone’s orders. Malik said that Qaim Ali Shah is an elected chief minister of Sindh and news regarding his replacement are baseless. Commenting on prolonged loadshedding he said that it is their fault who claimed to have ended loadshedding in six months. He said that everybody knows about India’s involvement in Balochistan. “Baloch militants are surrendering,” he added. Rehman Malik said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement is not going to rule Sindh. “Any action could not be taken on the basis of media reports,” he said. “Investigation should be carried out about the allegations levelled against MQM.” He said that Musharraf’s case is in court and only the court can decide his fate. “I never said former president Gen Musharraf was not a patriot”. Rehman Malik said that anyone working against the country should be punished. “We are against every criminal like the Rangers, but we should not be pushed to the wall,” he said. He said that they will support the nation, political leadership and armed forces.
