PPP’s Moula Bux Chandio tests positive for coronavirus

KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Senator Moula Bux Chandio and his family have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. His wife and son have also tested positive for the virus. The senator got himself tested before travelling to Islamabad. He has isolated himself at home. Several political leaders have tested positive for the virus, with at least 11 Sindh MPAs testing positive. PPP MPA Murtaza Baloch passed away due to virus-related complications on Tuesday. Earlier, Sindh Minister for Katchi Abadis Ghulam Murtaza Baloch died of coronavirus. He has been under treatment for several days in a private hospital since he tested positive for coronavirus on May 14. He has been ventilator for several days. Murtaza Baloch was elected an MPA from Malir. He also served as Gaddap Town nazim. He was also suffering from multiple diseases. Meanwhile, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former president Asif Ali Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Governor Imran Ismail and provincial minister Saeed Ghani and other party leaders have expressed grief over his death. His funeral will be held in Faqir Muhammad Goth.
