PPP's 'Salam Shuhada' rally begins, Bilawal says Benazir had returned as hope of nation

KARACHI (92 News) – The ‘Salama Shuhada’ rally of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to remember the martyrs of Karsaz attack has left Bilawal House. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto while standing on the truck addressed the participants that the attack on Benazir’s convoy was an attack on the hopes of people. "We will get freedom from Takht-e-Lahore," he said. Criticizing Imran Khan, Bilawal said that the contract of attacking the 'lion' (PML-N) was given to only one player. "The daughter of the nation had returned to Pakistan on Oct 1, 2007. She had chosen Karachi for her arrival. Karachi is the heart beat of Pakistan, Karachi is the city of Quaid. Benazir Bhutto returned as a hope for the country. She had brought a hope of freedom from terrorism, poverty, corruption and dictatorship. Her democratic caravan was attacked on Oct 18. It stands as the biggest event in the history of Pakistan. The attack on Benazir’s convoy was an attack on the hopes of people. The participants of the Oct 18 rally at Karsaz set a great example of bravery. My Pakistani patriots instead of running at the time of bomb blast, saved their hero," Bilawal said. "Those who martyred Benazir Bhutto were fooled that nobody would challenge them again. BB’s son is alive today. BB’s workers are alive today," he added. He further said the PPP had put Pakistan on track of growth through projects like CPEC and Iran gas pipeline, and added, "We raised slogans of ‘Jamhooriyat behtareen intaqam’ (Democracy is the best revenge) and 'Pakistan Khappey' (Long live Pakistan) but we became a victim of conspiracies." Addressing Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, he said, “You are leading the country towards destruction. This childish opposition has strengthened the government. He said, "The people should not be disappointed; the arrow has left the bow. BB’s son has entered the ground. I am bringing a change in the party. If the people are with us, we will bring a change in the country as well."
