Preparations for PTI march in final phase; convoys start reaching
LAHORE (92 News) – Preparations for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Raiwind march at Adda Plot near the residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over Panama leaks issue in Lahore are in the final phase and a large number of convoys of party leaders and workers have started reaching from across the country to attend the march on Friday.
The preparations for the rally are in process as the roads have been decorated on all sides with party flags and stage has been set up with at least 20 containers, while arrangements for lights have also completed.
PTI chairman Imran Khan would address the rally and thousands of chairs have been installed for the public. The party workers will reach Lahore in groups and their respective group leaders have been given the task to look after their team members.
On the other hand, a large number of convoys of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers have started reaching from across the country to attend the Raiwind march to be held today (Friday) at Adda Plot near the residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over Panama leaks.
The major PTI convoys from different cities including Karachi and Hyderabad will reach Lahore. The convoys comprise of a large number of women and children.
The leaders of PTI say that the struggle against corruption in the country and rigging-stained-government will continue and there will be no stopping till the establishment of real democracy in the country.
Earlier, PTI chairman Imran Khan said that they will write a new history on Friday. Addressing gatherings at different places in Lahore on Wednesday, he said that celebration would start from today.
“We will not stop till accountability of the prime minister,” he said. Imran Khan said that caravans had also departed from other cities. He said that Nawaz Sharif was caught red-handed, but the institutions kept silent over the issue.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced the Raiwind march last week to press the government for Panama Papers leaks investigation.
He had urged PTI workers, supporters and people belonging to all walks of life to participate in Raiwind March to get rid of the status quo and corrupt rulers and make a new Pakistan.
Khan said that Nawaz Sharif not only destroyed democratic institutions but also promoted corruption in this country, and he is destroying ethics of the nation. Nawaz Sharif also appointed corrupt people at high positions.
