President and PM express sorrow over the death of nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Dr Arif Alvi and PM Imran Khan have expressed sorrow over the death of nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
انا للّٰہ وانا الیہ راجعون
Deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan. Had known him personally since 1982.
He helped us develop nation-saving nuclear deterrence, and a grateful nation will never forget his services in this regard. May Allah bless him.
President Dr Arif Alvi said in a tweet that the services of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan would never be forgotten by the entire nation. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan played an important role in the nuclear program for the defence of Pakistan. May Allah forgive Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the funeral prayers of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan will be offered at Faisal Mosque. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan will be buried in Faisal Mosque.
Deeply saddened by the passing of Dr A Q Khan. He was loved by our nation bec of his critical contribution in making us a nuclear weapon state. This has provided us security against an aggressive much larger nuclear neighbour. For the people of Pakistan he was a national icon.

He said in a tweet that Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan played a key role in making Pakistan a nuclear state. Due to its nuclear program, Pakistan got security in the face of an aggressive nuclear neighbor. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was a national icon for the people of Pakistan.
