President appoints Zahoor Ahmed Agha as Balochistan's new governor

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - President Arif Alvi on Wednesday appointed Zahoor Ahmed Agha as the new governor of Balochistan after accepting the resignation of former governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai.

A notification issued from President Alvi’s office said that he has accepted Yasinzai’s resignation and appointed Agha as his replacement.

Amanullah Yasinzai resigns

Justice (retd) Amanullah Khan has resigned as the Balochistan governor. He submitted his resignation letter to President Arif Alvi.

It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Imran Khan asked him for resign during his Balochistan visit.

According to the sources, he has resigned on the advice of the prime minister. He was asked to resign because of the political challenges in Balochistan.

He was appointed in October 2018. It has yet to be revealed who will replace Khan.
