President Arif Arif is bound to implement PM's advice, says Rana Sanaullah
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that President Arif Alvi is bound to implement the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Talking to exclusively to 92 News on Thursday, he said that retaining the summary will be violation of the constitution and the laws.
Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had made the appointments by using his constitutional right. "The decision has been made after taking the cabinet into confidence," she added.
She said that the heads of allies parties had assured the prime minister of support in each decision.
In a tweet, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said: Seniority-cum-merit based decision of the PM to appoint Gen Syed Asim Munir as Chief of Army Staff and Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee is praiseworthy. Allah’s blessings for Pakistan and the new appointees. Pakistan Zindabad!"

In a tweet, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the appointment of the senior most military officer on merit is a good sign. "We hope that neither President Ariff Alvi will create a hurdle nor Imran Khan will be a obstacle in this regard," he added.
