President Asif Zardari summons Senate session tomorrow, joint session on April 16

ISLAMABAD (APP) – President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday summoned the Senate to meet in the Parliament House, Islamabad at 9am on Tuesday, the 9th April 2024.

The President summoned the Senate session in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari summoned a joint session of the parliament at 4 pm on April 16.

According to the Article 56(3) of the Constitution, the President will address the joint session of at the beginning of the parliamentary year after the general elections. The President convened the joint session under Articles 54(1) and 56(3) of the Constitution.
