President Dr Arif Alvi says country’s economy is improving

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Dr Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan’s economy is improving, while Pakistan and Afirca have emerged as emerging region. He was addressing two-day Envoys' Conference titled ‘Engage Africa’, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday. “Pakistan is emerging as a land of opportunities and foreign investment is increasing. Pakistan is an emerging economy where middle class is thriving,” he claimed. The President said that the ambassadors appointed abroad should take more steps to promote trade and tourism. He stressed the need for enhancing collaboration between Pakistan and the African region in common priority areas of peace, education, health, trade, tourism and climate change. “Pakistan and Africa have several similarities, and the two sides need to work in close cooperation for achieving peace and prosperity for their people.” Dr Arif Alvi said that the two sides should enhance cooperation in defence and trade as well. The President said such interactions provide valuable opportunity to engage and communicate. “We want to continue improving our relations with Africa,” he said.
