President Dr Arif Alvi says Indian atrocities continuing in Occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Dr Arif Alvi has said that the Kashmiris should be given the right to self-determination. Addressing a seminar at President’s House on Tuesday, he said that Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir are continuing. “Pellet guns have been used against innocent Kashmiris in the Occupied Valley,” he added. The President said that Pakistan wants peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute. “As per formula of the Partition, Kashmir had to be annexed with Pakistan,” he said. Dr Arif Alvi said that all Pakistanis will express solidarity with Kashmiris. He said that the oppressive tactics of Indian occupation troops cannot break the resolve of Kashmiri people to demand for freedom. The President called for sending international observers in Occupied Kashmir to take stock of the prevailing situation. “The BJP-led government is working to destroy its country using discriminate acts against Muslims, Sikhs and Christian within India.” Dr Arif Alvi said that Kashmir is unfinished agenda and the UNSC should play its role to resolve it as promised with the Kashmiris through its dozens of resolutions. “The world should also put pressure on India to stop Hindutva realizing the sensitivity of the issue.” The President said that Kashmir is the jugular vein and integral part of Pakistan. “No compromise will be made which denies right of self-determination to Kashmiri brethren,” he added. Kashmir Committee Chairman Syed Fakhar Imam said that the United Nations Security Council had passed several resolutions promising provision of right of self-determination to Kashmir to resolve this lingering issue. Addressing another ceremony, Federal Minister for Communication Murad Saeed asked the people to shun their difference till independence of Kashmir. “Prime Minister Imran Khan will address AJK Legislative Assembly tomorrow,” he said. He said that Modi had not signed the status of Kashmir, but his destruction. Ali Amin Gandapur said that the world should break the silence on Indian atrocities in Kashmiris.
