President, PM express deep grief over loss of precious lives in Swat blasts

ISLAMABAD (APP) - President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed their deep grief over loss of precious lives in blasts that destroyed building of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Kabal, Swat on Monday night.

In his message, the president expressed his condolences with the bereaved families and prayed for them to bear the losses with fortitude. He also prayed for the high ranks of the departed souls and for the early recovery of the injured.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in a message, expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the high ranks of the martyrs.

He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured and directed for provision of all available medical treatment to the injured. The prime minister summoned a report from the relevant authorities over the incident.

The entire nation saluted the sacrifices of its Shuhada, he added.

On his Twitter handle, the prime minister strongly condemned the suicide attack on CTD station and said that nation was deeply grieved over martyrdom of police officials. “Our police has been the first line of defence against terrorism. We will not rest until we eliminate this scourge. My condolences to bereaved families,” he further posted in a tweet.
