President, PM expresses grief over loss of lives in Peshawar seminary blast

ISLAMABAD (92 News) –President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the blast at a seminary in Peshawar on Tuesday.

They have strongly condemned the blast at a seminary in Peshawar and directed authorities to provide best medical facilities to the injured.

PM Imran has expressed grief over loss of precious lives and prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of the injured of the explosion.

Minister for Information Shibli Faraz strongly denounced the blast at a seminary in Peshawar and said that those behind the attack on students have nothing to do with humanity.

The minister said the sordid designs of those trying to stoke instability in the country will be foiled. Condoling with the bereaved families, Shibli Faraz prayed for the recovery of those injured in the blast.

Condemning the blast, Minister for Interior Ijaz Shah vowed not to spare those involved in the blast.

At least seven people including children have martyred while 70 injured as a massive explosion hit seminary in Peshawar’s Dir Colony.

According to the security forces, the blast occurred in the main hall after an unidentified man took a bag containing five to six kilograms of explosives inside the seminary. The nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained.

It was also reported that the blast and said two teachers were among the injured. More casualties are feared as some of the victims are in critical condition.

The injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital and another medical facility where the condition of several of them is stated to be critical. Some of the injured are said to be in critical condition. The ages of students are reported from 11 to 17 years.

The police and rescue teams have reached at the blast site. A heavy contingent of law enforcement agencies has cordoned off the spot of the explosion and begun collecting evidence. The nature of the explosion has yet to be ascertained.
