President celebrates Eid in Karachi, PM in Islamabad while Nawaz in jail

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Many key religious and political personalities celebrated Eidul Fitr in their native towns, while thousands of prisoners celebrated the Eid in jails. President Arif Alvi and former president Mamnoon Hussain celebrated Eid in Karachi, Prime Minister Imran Khan at Bani Gala in Islamabad, while former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. Former president Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto, Asifa and Bakhtawar celebrated Eid in Nawab Shah. Former chief minister ( CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar celebrated Eid in London. Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry will celebrate Eid in Dina, Jhelum, National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaisar in district Swabi, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani in Nok Kandi Balochistan. Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar celebrated Eid in Lahore. JI chief Sirajul Haq and JI Leader Liaqat Baloch celebrated Eid in Lahore. Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed in Lal Haveli Rawalpindi and former interior minister Chuadhry Nisar will celebrate Eid in Rawalpindi, whereas Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi celebrated Eidul Fitr day in Multan and Sindh Governor and Sindh Chief Minister in Karachi.
Eidul Fitr in Pakistan on Wednesday as Shawwal moon sighted
Pakistani nation will celebrate Eidul Fitr on Wednesday, June 05, as Shawwal moon has been sighted in Pakistan. This was announced by Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman in Karachi today. The evidence of moon sighting was received from Loralai district of Balochistan.
Big Eid congregations will be held at open places, mosques and Eidgahs in all major cities and towns. The Ulema in their sermons will highlight the significance and philosophy of Eidul Fitr. Special prayers will be offered for the progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the Muslim Ummah. Prayers will also be offered for early liberation of occupied Muslim territories including Kashmir and Palestine. In the federal capital, the main Eidul Fitr congregation will be held at the Faisal Mosque where top government officials and envoys of Muslim countries will offer Eid prayers along with hundreds of people. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in different parts of the country including the federal capital to avoid any untoward incident on the auspicious occasion. Comprising religious scholars and Met Office Officials, the committee makes its decision on the basis of evidence received from across the country.
