LAHORE (92 News) - Price control committees remained unable to control price hike of daily use items in the month of Ramzan.

According to a press release, prices of daily use items including fruits and vegetables increased. Prices of different kinds of pulses increased up to Rs5 per kg. ‘Daal Masoor’, ‘Daal Moong’ crossed Rs200 pr kg while ‘Daal Maash’ is being sold at Rs300 per kg.

Price of ‘Chaki flour’ has reached to Rs85 per kg while fine flour is being sold at Rs80 per kg. Consumers are compelled to buy essentials on higher prices.

On the other hand, yesterday price control team made 768 inspections and revealed 147 violations. As many as 29 FIRs were filed and fines of 0.339 Million fines were imposed.
