Prices of petroleum products likely to increase from August 1

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The prices of petroleum products are likely to increase from August 1.

According to sources, two opinions have been prepared in working paper for increasing petroleum prices. It has been suggested to increase the diesel price up to Rs18 per liter and petrol price up to Rs15 per liter. The summary will be sent to the Finance Ministry tomorrow. The prices can be maintained by reducing the levy on petroleum products or the prices can be increased by increasing the levy tax by 10 rupees per liter.

According to the sources, by reducing the levy tax, the effects of the dealers' margin can also be avoided. The prices of petrol and diesel can be increased only by increasing the tax rate.
