Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif approves US$5m for Rohingya Muslims

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has announced the US$5 million on the recommendations of a cabinet committee formed with regard to tackle issues over the plight of Rohingya Muslims. According to a statement issued by the Information Ministry, the prime minister also met United Nation Secretary General Ban-ki Moon regarding the plight of Rohingya Muslims. “The prime minister will write a letter to the UN Secretary General to discuss the situation of Rohingya Muslims and demand the UN increase diplomatic and moral pressure on the Myanmar government,” the statement said.
