ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has warned that those staging the sit-in in Islamabad will be arrested.

Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that voting on the no-confidence motion will be held on April 3 or 4 and Imran Khan will be successful. He declared that MNA Jam Abdul Kareem, who has been nominated in the Nazim Jokhiyo murder case, will be arrested on reaching Pakistan.

The minister said that he had proposed the prime minister to declare the emergency and moving towards the election after the budget.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad expressed the commitment to ensure law and order during the current political situation.

He said full security will be provided to the public gathering of the opposition in the federal capital. "Nobody will be allowed to stage a sit-in. As per directions of the courts, main roads, including Srinagar Highway, will be kept open."

The minister said that the PML-N request to stage the gathering on Srinagar Highway had been rejected. "Srinagar Highway has been handed over to the FC and Rangers for security purpose. Nobody will be allowed to take the law into their hands. All political parties should demonstrate maturity and refrain from any confrontation," he added.
