Prime minister discusses all controversial issues with Indian counterpart, says Tariq Fatemi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister’s special assistant on foreign policy Tariq Fatemi has said that the prime minister Nawaz Sharif told his Indian counterpart on the sidelines on Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Ufa, that Kashmir issue should be resolved on priority basis. Tariq Fatemi said that talks between Afghan government and Taliban are a big achievement and international community supported Pakistan’s position. He said that Pakistan wished to start talks with India. “Pakistan wanted have peaceful ties with its neighbours,” he said. He said that the prime minister made it clear to Narendra Modi that we have to work together to fight poverty in the region. Fatemi said that the International community also pressuring Indian government. He said that the prime minister Nawaz Sharif had discussed all controversial issues including Kashmir, Siachin, Sir Creek and water, with Indian prime minister Narendra Modi during their meeting in Ufa on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. Prime Minister’s special assistant said that prime minister wants good relations with all neighbours.
