Sindh CM meets PM Imran Khan, Mushtaq Mahar to be appointed IGP

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah called on Prime Minister Imran Khan during the latter’s visit on Monday. During the meeting, the prime minister accepted the Sindh chief minister’s request to transfer the IGP. The federal government, the sources said, has decided to appoint Mushtaq Mahar as Sindh IGP. A notification in this regard will be issued on Tuesday. Both agreed to improve working relationship and appointed one of the officers nominated by the Sindh government. They also agreed to reduce political bitterness and join hands with each other over national uplift projects. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail was also present on the occasion. He also supported the demand of transferring IGP Kaleem Imam who also reached the Governor’s House. Sources said that the prime minister had offered the CM to include the proposals of the Sindh government in the projects launched by the federal government. Prime Minister Imran Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also held a one-on-one meeting. They discussed political situation and key national matters. The chief minister also discussed the wheat crisis with the prime minister. The prime minister said that he would soon hold a meeting over the flour crisis and purchase of new crop. Meanwhile, traders’ leaders also called on the prime minister and informed him about their problems. Later, he also held a meeting with the Pir Pagara at Kingri House.
