Prime Minister Imran Khan announces construction of 10 new dams

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday announced to construct 10 new dams.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tarbela 5th Extension Hydropower Project, he said that the country faces an acute shortage of water.

"We will be able to give water to farmers. In addition, we will be able to secure the future of the next generations," he maintained.

The prime minister said that Insha Allah Mohmand Dam will be ready in 2025. "There was no hurdle in the construction of dams despite the coronavirus pandemic," he maintained.
