ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed the resolve to bring the oppressed out of poverty. Addressing at Doing Business Reforms Exhibition being organized by Board of Investment in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that the government had launched the Ehsas Program despite economic challenges. “The government is overcoming the economic challenges through the best economic team,” he said. The prime minister said that the country had faced losses in mega projects in the past. “There is need for trust to promote foreign investment. The use of modern technology is inevitable for achieving durable progress,” he said. Imran Khan expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the train tragedy. Terming the youth as a great asset, the Prime Minister said programs have been launched to harness the potential of this important segment of population for growth of economy. “Similar efforts are afoot to bring the women in mainstream.” The prime minister said that Pakistan was among the fast-developing nations in 1960s due to efficient bureaucracy and governance. “However, our society declined over the subsequent years due to corruption, bad governance and weakening of institutions,” he said. Speaking on the occasion, World Bank Group President David Malpass said that they want to see Pakistan a successful country. “Pakistan has improved in the ranking of the countries creating business easiness,” he said. He said that Pakistan needs to make a considerable increase in exports.
