ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has admitted to inflation, saying it will reduce very soon.

Launching Kamyab Pakistan Program (KPP) worth Rs 1,400 billion on Monday, he said that the people are worried about inflation. "We will try our best to shift the minimum onus onto the people," he added.

"The oil price has increased by 100 percent, while it increased by 22 percent in Pakistan. The price of wheat has been increased by 37 percent in the world, but it increased by 12 percent in Pakistan," he added.

He said that a country having islands for the rich and a sea of the poor cannot succeed. "Those opposing uniform syllabus should be ashamed," he maintained.

The prime minister said that the government is also cognizant of the problems faced by the downtrodden segments of the society due to price hike. "A program is being launched under Ehsaas to provide direct targeted subsidy to them on essential commodities such as flour, ghee and sugar," he added.
