UFA, Russia – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif shook hands and exchanged pleasant words with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in Ufa, Russia on Thursday, reported 92 News.
They also held a brief meeting during the dinner in honour of the BRICS leaders.
The detailed meeting between both leaders will be held on Friday.
This was confirmed by Foreign Office Spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah at the weekly news briefing in Islamabad.
The spokesperson said progress could be made on the restoration of the Pak-India dialogues.
He expressed the confidence that the meeting between will have positive impact on bilateral relations.
Qazi Khalilullah said the prime minister will also hold meetings with the Presidents of Russia, China and Afghanistan.
“Pakistan wants to enhance relations with Russia and the meeting between the prime minister and the Russian president will provide fresh impetus to the ongoing cooperation,” he added.
