ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that foreign forces are trying to sabotage the economic corridor project and it is their duty to fight against secret objectives of the terrorists. Addressing the meeting of parliamentary leaders, the prime minister said that the Safora tragedy is tragic and stern decisions have to be made after it. “The government believes in resolving all national issue through consensus. It has always taken the parliament into confidence over all national issues,” he said. Briefing on the economic corridor project, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that the objective of the project is to ensure uniform progress in all parts of the country under the long-term programnme. “The proposed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be a source of a change in the region. It will help attract large-scale international investment, including the historic Chinese investment,” the minister maintained. Nawaz3 Supporting the economic corridor project, PTI vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that it is a national project, which will benefit the entire region. He congratulated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the project. Former president Asif Ali Zardari said that the national leadership should support the project for the future of the country. PML-Q leader Mushahid Hussain said that Ahsan Iqbal’s briefing has removed all ambiguities.
