Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi calls on Nawaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi called on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at Punjab House on Monday.
They discussed the country’s political situation and party affairs.
Nawaz Sharif also discussed his appearance in the accountability court with the prime minister.
Former Interior Minister Ch Nisar also held a one-on-one meeting with Nawaz Sharif. Both discussed party affairs and harmony with big institutions.
Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif held an important meeting with the party leadership after reaching Islamabad.
During the meeting, matters relating to political situation and his appearance before the accountability court were discussed.
Earlier upon his arrival at the Benazir International Airport, Nawaz Sharif was welcomed by a large number of leaders and activists of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He reached Islamabad by PIA flight PK-786 at around 8am.
The decision of his return was taken during a series of meetings held in London with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders during the last couple of days. All the assumptions and analysis died following the announcement of his return.
The former prime minister was in London to take care of his ailing wife. Sharif’s wife Kulsoom Nawaz is undergoing cancer treatment there.
Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court on July 28 in the Panama Papers case.
