I am privileged and honored to have been Head of JIT, says Wajid Zia

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Wajid Zia, the head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe the Prime Minister and his family in Panama Leaks case has on Tuesday said that they have they have made a history by investigations against Nawaz Sharif.

Wajid Zia said that he feel privileged, honored and proud to have been the Head of this Joint Investigation Team and take this opportunity to thank the Honorable Implementation bench for reposing unwavering trust in the JIT.

He said: “Investigation for me, is the finding out of truth, and Alhamdulillah, I feel that we have been successful to submit the truth today to the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan. “

This task could not have been accomplished without the exceptional abilities of all members of the six-man panel, and their utmost dedication to complete the investigative in an impartial and fair manner, he added.

“I as the Head of the JIT, take full responsibility for all aspects of investigation and would like to thank all the members of the JIT as well as the associated staff from different departments. Without their support and dedication it would not have been possible to complete this task within the stipulated time.”

He said that the six-man panel has done what the country’s investigative institutions failed to do in the last few decades.
