Problems can never be solved without democracy: Bilawal

SUKKUR (92 News) – Pakistan People party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday said that the problems of the country cannot be solved without democcracy. Speaking to the journalists, Bilawal said that the country was going towards general election 2018 and the problems of state institutions would be solved after coming in the power. Responding to a question relating to the Avenfield reference verdict, the announcement of the verdict should not portray Nawaz as a victim. The PPP chairman also noted that the protection of fundamental rights is the real essence of democracy and a compromise on the matter is not possible. He stressed that that democracy is not defined by merely holding elections. "While it is a positive development that the country was going to witness its second election, we must continue this trend and bring stability to it," he said.
