9th Muharram processions taken out across country
KARACHI (92 News) – The ‘Alam and Zuljinah’ processions of the 9th Muharram were taken out across the country amid tight security.
The participants of the processions recited ‘Nohas’ to pay glowing tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and others martyrs of Kerbala. The mourners passed through specified routes. The processions ended at their designated points .
Water tanks, milk and soft drinks (Sabeel) were arranged across the routes of the processions. Before the processions, the mourners were addressed by their religious scholars.
Special sermons were delivered to highlight the importance of the 9th Ashura Muharram and matchless sacrifice offered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and other martyrs of Karbala for supremacy of Islam.
The speakers said that Hazrat Imam Hussain's (RA) thoughts, teachings and principles are the beacon of light for mankind. Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and honorable members of his family laid down lives at sizzling heat at Kerbala to defend and uphold glory of the great religion of Islam.
They said great responsibilities are on the shoulders of Ulema, Mushaikh and religious scholars to play their due role for promoting peace, brotherhood, politeness and tolerance in the society.
Heavy contingent of police and other law enforcing agencies escorted the processions. Doctors, paramedical staff and ambulance service besides Rescue 1122 staffers accompanied with the mourners while TMA’s officials provided water to mourners.
Meanwhile, Youm-e-Ashur will be observed across the country with revrence on Friday to pay homage to supreme sacrifices by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Kerbala.
Alam, Zuljinah and Taazia processions will be taken out in all cities and towns of the country. Ulema and Zakireen will highlight the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and various aspects of the Kerbla tragedy.
