Processions, Majalis held to commemorate supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), companions

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Processions and Majalis are were held to remember the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala on 9th Muharram. 

In Karachi, the main procession was taken out from Nishtar Park. In Lahore, the 9th Muharram procession was taken out from Pando Street.

In Peshawar, the main procession taken out from Imam Bargah-e-Hussainia conluded at the same point after passing through traditional routes.

In Sukkur, the mourning processions taken out at Fajr passed through their traditional routes. In Islamabad, the main procession was taken out from G-6. The route has been secured by erecting barbed wires. The processions concluded at the Imambargahs after passing through their traditional routes.

Foolproof security arrangements had been made along the routes of the mourning processions. The mobile phone service has been suspended along the routes in Lahore, Multan and Karachi.
