Promised to make Pakistan a great state on principles of Madina State: PM

LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he had promised to make Pakistan a great state on the principles of the State of Madina, not to make it an Asian Tiger. Addressing a gathering after distributing Sehat Sahulat Cards among the deserved in Lahore on Saturday, he said that he would fulfill his promises. He said that the inflation was an outcome of the deficit left by the previous government. “The prices of daily-use items increased after the rupee depreciated. I admit our negligence and investigations in this regard are going on,” he said. The prime minister vowed not to spare those who made money through the price-hike. He said that the provision of Sehat cards is an important step towards making Pakistan a welfare state. Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated a service centre in Safe City. During a meeting, he directed Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to expedite operation against profiteers and adulterators. They also discussed overall situation and development projects in the province. The prime minister directed to ensure provision of eatable items. “The provision of flour and sugar should at the government rates should be ensured,” he ordered.
