SWABI (92 News) – The Awami National Party (ANP) held a public meeting in Swabi on Tuesday in its protest movement against the government for ignoring Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC) western route. ANP chief Asfandyar Wali while addressing the meeting said, “We are united against the enemy. If someone attacks our motherland, the ANP workers would fight like a soldier.” Regarding the CPEC project, Asfandyar Wali not only criticized the prime minister but also reminded him of his promises. He said, “The CPEC is a game-changer project. Our protest is not against the project but it is against the prime minister for not keeping his promise.” He said the prime minister should tell if KP, FATA, Gwadar and rest of the Balochistan are not a part of Pakistan. KP and FATA should also benefit from CPEC, he added. Asfandyar termed the foreign policy of the country as a failure, and said that it needs to be formulated again.
