Protest of PTI workers continues outside Bani Gala over awarding tickets

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) disgruntled workers continued their sit-in protest outside chairman Imran Khan’s Banigala residence against the distribution of party tickets. According to the details garnered, the PTI disgruntled activists have presented charter of demands in a meeting in Islamabad over the issue of tickets. Disgruntled members termed that awarding of tickets to some members as the board's decision of injustice. They demanded that the decision of awarding tickets should be overviewed again. Furthermore, in charter of demands, it was insisted to constitute a transparent board for the reconsideration of decree regarding tickets Calling next meeting on June 24, persons stipulate to award tickets to all those who had contest previous general election [2013] on PTI tickets and demanded ban on contesting elections on more than one constituency. Party activists from Lahore’s PP-170 and PK-60 Charsadda joined the already present NA-154 Multan members in the protest. Workers from PP-170 are demonstrating against allotting ticket to political secretary Aun Chaudhry’s brother Imran. Likewise, the activists from Multan are not ready to leave without receiving the party ticket for Malik Ahmed Dehar. The protesting members say that this not the change for which they have struggled in the past. They have vowed not to back off until the ideological party members receive the ticket. Earlier on Thursday, some irate party leaders including Hamid Khan presented charter of demands in a meeting in Islamabad over the issue of tickets.
