Province alone can’t make decision to create curfew-like situation: Imran Ismail

KARACHI (92 News) – Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that a province alone cannot make the decision to create a curfew-like situation.

Criticizing the Sindh government’s decision to impose the complete lockdown on Saturday, he said that it was not appropriate to send vendors home and forcibly got the shops closed.

The governor said that the Sindh government’s notification regarding the complete lockdown was a surprise for the federal government. “The closure of industries is tantamount to cutting the jugular vein of the city,” he maintained.

He said that the lockdown does not affect the wealthy people.

Imran Ismail said that the federal government was spending billions of rupees to save the people from rains.
