LAHORE (Web Desk) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the prize money for HBL’s 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), with the winning team set to receive a hefty sum of $500,000 and the runners-up $200,000.
The tournament, which kicked off on April 11 with a grand opening ceremony in Rawalpindi, will feature 34 matches across four cities—Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Multan—and will conclude with the final on May 18.
This season’s champions will also lift the newly unveiled Luminara Trophy, which was revealed last month in a dramatic video shot on Karachi’s scenic coastline.
The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host the most matches, including the two Eliminators and the final, while Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will stage 11 games, including the first Qualifier on May 13. Both Karachi and Multan will host five matches each.
The tournament’s curtain-raiser featured performances by legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen, pop sensation Ali Zafar, and rap duo Young Stunners, among others. Defending champions Islamabad United began the season with a win over Lahore Qalandars.
Captains Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi continue to lead their respective sides, while Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators have introduced new leadership in David Warner and Saud Shakeel.
