LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman Najam Sethi said on Wednesday that each team qualifying for the final to be held on March 5 at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium will have four foreign players each. “I can confirm that each Finalist team will field four foreign players from pool of platinum, diamond and gold players who have agreed,” Sethi said in his tweet. Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shehryar Khan said that the final will still be played in Lahore even if no foreign players are coming. “Other players would come if no foreign players are willing to come for the final,” the PCB chairman said. He further said that security organizers have assured holding the next PSL final in Karachi. Quetta Gladiators' mentor Sir Vivian Richards and fielding coach Julien Fountain will however arrive in Lahore for the finale. The English trio of Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright and Tymal Mills decided to pull out of the final after Quetta Gladiators clinched a thrilling one-run win over Peshawar Zalmi on Tuesday to reach their second successive final. “Unfortunately I will not be travelling to Lahore for the final but will be watching from home and cheering on the boys who I know will fight just as much as they have all tournament,” Mills said in a tweet. Apart from these three, New Zealand bowling all-rounder Nathan McCullum has also pulled out of the final.
