PSL Spot Fixing Scandal: PCB suspends Muhammad Irfan

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Cricket Board has on Tuesday suspended fast bowler Muhammad Irfan in spot fixing scandal in Pakistan Super League (PSL). Irfan has been charged with violations of Code of conduct 4 and now has been given 14 days to respond to the Notice of Charge. The pacer has also been provisionally suspended with immediate effect from participating in all forms of cricket. The Board’s anti-corruption unit said that Muhammad Irfan has violated the Code of Conduct by not informing the board officials regarding the bookies had contacted him thrice. Earlier, Irfan admitted in his video statement that he had been contacted by bookies during the tournament.
