PSL spot fixing: Sharjeel, Shahzeb record statement before FIA

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Cricketers Sharjeel Khan and Shahzeb Hasan were presented before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday for the investigation of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot fixing scandal.

Both the cricketers recorded their statement to the Cyber Wing officials.

The initial report of the statements of Muhammad Irfan and Khalid Latif has also been prepared. The FIA director sent the report to the director general.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the FIA does not need to take permission from the Pakistan Cricket Board to investigate the spot fixing.

He said that spot fixing is a very serious matter; it should not be made a drama.

He said that he is personally watching over the investigations and asserted that he would eliminate the impression of differences between the cricket board and the FIA.
