PSP officers meet IG Punjab, demand Nekokara’s case reinvestigation

LAHORE (92 News) - Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) officers met Inspector General (IG) Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera on Tuesday and demanded reinvestigation into the case of former Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Islamabad, Mohammad Ali Nekokara. The PSP officers showed reservations on IG Balochistan Muhammad Amlish’s inquiry into the case and his recommendation of Nekokara’s dismissal from service. IG Punjab assured the PSP officers of maximum cooperation and said he will request the government for Nekokara’s reinstatement. Earlier, Secretary Establishment in a notification said that Nekokara was dismissed from service for unlawful act of refusing to perform his duty of intercepting protesters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT).
