PSX gains 523 points, closes at 71,433.46 points

ISLAMABAD (APP) - The 100-Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bullish trend on Monday, gaining 523.56 points, a positive change of 0.74 percent, closing at 71,433.46 points against 70,909.90 points the previous trading day.

A total of 655,205,105 shares valuing Rs.31.248 billion were traded during the day as compared to 475,833,699 shares valuing Rs.23.220 billion the last day. Some 389 companies transacted their shares in the stock market; 217 of them recorded gains and 140 sustained losses, whereas the share prices of 32 remained unchanged.

Gold rates dip by Rs3,500 per tola to Rs248,700

The per tola price of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs.3,500 and was sold at Rs248,700 as compared to its sale at Rs252,200 on last trading day. The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also decreased by Rs3,021 to Rs213,220 from Rs216,221 whereas the prices of 10 gram 22 karat gold went up to Rs195,452 from Rs198,202.

The price of per tola silver decreased by Rs30 to Rs2,750 whereas that of ten gram silver declined by Rs27.86 to Rs2,357.68. The price of gold in the international market decreased by US$30 to US$2,381 from US$2,411.
